my story -- on film
Film photography has been a turning point in how I approach my craft and the stories I capture. It invites me to step back, observe, and let moments unfold naturally. There’s no rush, no perfection to chase — just the quiet decision to press the shutter when something resonates deeply. What inspires me most about shooting film is the way it asks for trust: trust in the process, in the story, and in the beauty that often reveals itself later.
Some of my favorite images weren’t planned or even remembered until I saw them developed, yet they hold a weight I couldn’t have created on my own. They remind me that photography isn’t about control — it’s about honoring what’s already there. Film has taught me to see with fresh eyes, to be present, and to embrace the quiet, authentic beauty of life as it happens.
